Ms. Jeanne Jones

Jeanne Jones, Writing and Grammar, Creative Writing, Literature is an attorney and teacher who lives in the D.C. Metropolitan area with her husband and two children.  She received her Bachelor degree in English from University of Maryland, College Park and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.  After practicing law for nine years, Jeanne decided to pursue her real love – teaching – full time. Through a residential teaching program offered by the State of Maryland for career changers, Jeanne was able to become a certified teacher within a year. Jeanne has been enjoying teaching for the last fifteen years and has taught all subjects to a variety of elementary and middle school classrooms.  She started out as a fifth grade teacher in the Prince George’s County School system, and, more recently, was a third grade teacher at the Torah School of Greater Washington for six years.  Jeanne also teaches writing to grades K through 8 at Chance Academy, an alternative curriculum school based in D.C. This is Ms. Jones’ third year teaching writing at Ashreinu.  She is also currently studying for her Masters in Writing at Johns Hopkins University.
